Planting the Gospel
LifeSong Church is now partnering with Planting the Gospel to impact our community and our nation.
Planting the Gospel’s mission is to launch Gospel-centered church planting movements. Their strategy is to catalyze movements through Gospel Hubs. LifeSong Lyman has the privilege to act as one of the first Gospel Hubs in this mission.
Planting the Gospel has one simple goal…
10 years…100 Gospel Hubs…1000 Gospel Churches…10,000 Gospel Church Plants…1,000,000 Lives Changed!
Our DNA as a ministry includes:
- Gospel – The Gospel is the good news in that the kingdom of heaven is at hand. The Gospel is big news in that it redeems, it renews, and it restores. Living a Gospel-centered life and planting Gospel-centered churches requires major adjustments in our lives.
From that time on Jesus began to preach, ‘Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near(Matthew 4:17).
- Disciples – disciples are followers of Jesus who in the power of the Holy Spirit and the context of the kingdom live like Jesus, loves, like Jesus, and leaves what Jesus left behind (those who live and love like him). This is our one and only mission. God accomplishes his redeeming, renewing, and restoring work through his disciples.
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age (Matthew 28:19-20).
- Kingdom - The kingdom of heaven is near. We are called to be a kingdom people. The kingdom is where heaven and earth intersects in the here and now. It’s where Christ rule is supreme in our lives. As we follow we learn to see him at work, hear his voice, and understand his ways. When this happens and we respond in obedience his kingdom comes.

- Church – as the church we are first and foremost an organism, not an organization. We are the “body of Christ”. What Jesus began to do while here on earth he continues to do through his Church. The life and ministry of Jesus is our model for being the church. Our models and strategies is the result of our commitment to being the “body of Christ”.
Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it (I Corinthians 12:27).
- Multiplication – Our goal is not to build little kingdoms through the gathering of believers, but to be about the multiplication of disciples, leaders, ministries, churches, and movements to the very ends of the earth.
Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. Whoever has ears, let them hear (Matthew 13:8-9).
- Potential – When Jesus sees the least, the lost, and the lonely, he sees people beaming with potential. It’s is our job to equip them to live out their potential. We do this by creating a clear pathway way from conversion to church planting.
Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father (John 14:12).

World Care Ministries

Lifesong World Care Ministry (LWCM) is making an impact in the lives of adults and children around the world. Currently we are strategically partnered with a ministry in Jacmel, Haiti building houses, feeding children, providing clothing and shoes, and delivering medical supplies and Bibles. We have conducted educational seminars teaching proper Oral Hygiene and First Aid. LWCM has been on the ground in Haiti three times since 2010 and will return again in December 2011, as well as mutliple times in 2012. Our vision in Jacmel is to be a part of a generational change as we support our brothers and sisters in Christ and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
In addition LWCM is looking at opportunities in Africa, South America and Asia to develop new partners to start new projects.
LWCM is empowering Christ followers to be missionaries across the globe fulfilling the Gospel to make disciples of all Nations- Matthew 28:19

Upcoming Events:
Our Next Mission Trip to Haiti is now in the final stages. Candice and Mitch are making final preparations now. They will be ministering with an emphasis on women’s issues. Some of the activities they will participate in include a clothing distribution, the daily feeding program, construction and painting work. They will be traveling on the dates of July 7th – July 14th.
We need missionaries including youths who are 17 and over, or younger missionaries (on a case-by-case basis) when traveling with a parent, to commit to the upcoming trips. Candice and Mitch Brevard are leading a team focusing on women’s issues in July, followed by Ashley and Chad Moore leading a back to school charge in September. Other activities will include daily feeding program, construction and many other opportunities. Total cost is approximately $1600.00 per person all inclusive.
